If you've been considering a hiatus, here are a few timely tips that can make it easier: Announce your goal to friends, family and, if you wish, your social media contacts that you'll be away from social media for a specific period of time. Bypass viewing your personal page with a bookmark to your work page. Reduce time online by creating posts for multiple social media platforms in advance and scheduling them with an app like Hootsuite or SocialPilot.
