Get It Out of Your Head! By David Allen
You shouldn’t have a thought more than once, unless you simply like having that thought. Otherwise it takes up psychic RAM space and creates unnecessary pressure and stress. My best advice is to write down your thoughts and ideas. All of them! Little, big, personal, professional, urgent, not urgent, hare-brained–everything! Here’s why. Your mind is for having ideas, and it does this really well. It also reviews and analyzes collective data. But in terms of storing and organizing this data, it fails miserably. This is because your head has limited space.

Mortgage Consolidation Is It in Your Best Interest?
August is upon us and change is in the air. Summer vacations are winding down while the pennant races in Major League Baseball are beginning to ramp up. But along with this seasonal ebb and flow comes change of the unwelcome variety. Rumor has it that the Federal Reserve is gearing up for its 18th straight rate hike! The past two years have proven to be costly for the American homeowner. Between the devastation caused by some of our nation’s largest natural disasters and the interest rates increases during that time, the average homeowner from coast to coast (and everywhere in between) has been hit where it counts.

Setting the Record Straight The Truth About Applying to Colleges
It’s that time of year again. That special time when the media puts fear and doubt into the hearts of high school students and families everywhere by reporting the admission rates for our nation’s top universities. Harvard and Yale reportedly rejected over 89% of applicants this year, while Princeton and Columbia denied 87%. MIT, Brown, and Dartmouth weren’t far behind, slamming the door on at least 81% of applicants.

Living Trusts: A Conversation Worth Having
"We have to talk," my mother said, in a tone that was serious yet somehow cheerful at the same time. Standing a few feet behind her, in obvious discomfort, my father forced a smile that suddenly reminded me of another little talk we had to have when I was about fourteen years old. At first, I didn’t think much of it. My mother’s nervous preamble, however, about how I had nothing to worry about and that she and my father were fine quickly grabbed my attention. Suddenly, I found myself sitting on the couch, quiet and completely horrified by the prospect of what she might say next...
